Music
Music is key to the success of your party. Toms skill lies in reading the mood of your guests and selecting music to create atmosphere and fill the dancefloor. Toms comprehensive collection ranges from the 1920s to the present day. Tom is keen to discuss your music requirements prior to any event. Traditional music such as Scottish reels can be included.
Sound
Splendid uses the latest in sound technology producing a crisp, full sound quality at any volume for both speech and music. The music is mixed without any speaking. However, a microphone is always available for speeches.
Volume
The Splendid sound system is capable of filling the Park Lane Ballroom without distortion. However a pleasant volume is selected to suit each venue. It is music choice that fills the dance floor rather than increasing volumes.
Lighting
With professional theatre lighting and sound to light technology, the light show will complement the mood of your party. There are up to eight cans which can create a colour wash on the dance floor and up to four effect lights with moving gobos, all on chrome stands which can be discreetly placed to gain maximum effect. A smoke machine is available to enhance the lighting effects.
Reliability
You will only have to deal with one person from beginning to end, so you can expect the personal touch. Tom has never been late for any of the hundreds of bookings over the last 10 years. Splendid only uses the best equipment from the Mercedes van to the Crown amplifier. Splendid always carries spares so you can be rest assured that anything agreed will come to fruition.
What you can expect from an enquiry
Tom will discuss your requirements either over the phone or in person. A site visit is all part of the service. Once the quote is accepted a contract will be sent out. A small deposit is required to reserve the event date. On the day of the event the equipment will be set prior to your guests' arrival or at a time convenient to you. All crew wear the Splendid uniform. During the event Tom will not only craft the music atmosphere but will endeavour to set the lighting in the marquee or venue to match. At the end of the party the equipment will be disassembled at an appropriate time so as not to spoil the atmosphere as your guests leave. An invoice will then follow.
